An engineer shaped by aviation and rocketry
Sergei Korolev was born in 1907 in the Russian Empire. He studied engineering and became involved in aircraft and rocket development.
His career was interrupted by imprisonment during Stalin's purges, but he later returned to technical work and became central to the Soviet missile and space program.
