Chapter 1

Historical Context

Musk grew up in South Africa and developed interests in computing, engineering, and entrepreneurship before moving to North America.

Chapter 2

Technical or Scientific Problem

Reduce launch cost, build reliable orbital rockets, and then scale satellite broadband through a very large low-Earth-orbit constellation.

Chapter 3

Breakthrough and Evidence

SpaceX developed Falcon 9 reusability and deployed Starlink at unprecedented constellation scale.

Chapter 4

Consequences

The company reshaped commercial launch economics and accelerated large-constellation deployment.
